In the last half of 2016, Edison Research conducted three unique studies on the brand lift and advertising tests. The study included five national consumer brands in five different categories of product and services. Edison Research conducted these studies on behalf of PodcastOne in examining the effectiveness of podcast one in advertising national products.
Some of the national products advertised by PodCastOne were already known, but PosdcastOne tried launching new messaging. They also tried increasing awareness for the lesser-known brands so that the market was aware and also tried them.
The audience of PodcastOne were interviewed before the products were advertised and again six weeks after the advertisement.
According to the research findings, before the brand lift campaign, 7% of listeners mentioned one particular brand, but this figure had gone to 60% after the campaigns. Product awareness also increased to 47% for the product of financial services, 37% for the product of automobile aftermarket, and to 24% for the product of lawn and garden.
